The Kiltearn Community Council also known as KCC. Serves the parish of Kiltearn. Its aim is to reflect and express the views of the community to other organizations, local agencies and especially the Highland Council on planning and related issues.

KCC’s role is also to promote community well-being and take whatever actions it considers to be in the best interests of the community.

The Kiltearn Community Council also run the Diamond Jubilee Hall for the benefit of the village. Which transfered back to the community in September 2011 from Highland Council who has ran the hall since the 1931. The Community Counil also distribute community benefit from Novar Windfarm 1 & 2, Ben Tharsuinn Wind Farm and recently Black Rock Hydro Scheme out to local groups who run services and activities across the village and projects.
